Dear Price,
Eckart America Corporation launched the Safety Jackpot program in March 2006 and we have been very impressed with the improvement in overall safety awareness at the facility. The employees are excited about receiving the cards each week. We have tried other safety incentive programs and they have not helped to reduce injuries. This program benefits everyone, so it keeps the employees involved and excited about the program.

There has been a 45% reduction in recordable injuries compared to 2005. This is evidence that the program is successful in reducing injuries, but also does not keep employees from reporting injuries, which was a concern of ours prior to the implementation of the program. Safety Jackpot is a great opportunity for all employees to benefit from the incentive program and contribute to the safety improvement process.

We are looking forward to continuing the program and reducing injuries. This program is going to help us achieve the world class safety program we are working toward. The program is great for us and will help other facilities achieve their safety goals as well.
